British 60s cinema

The unsung films page will feature occasional pieces on some of my favourite films, mainly but not exclusively from the 1960s, that for one reason or another tend to get overlooked.

If it inspires anyone to go away and watch the films, then I will have achieved what I wanted to.

It won't feature renowned and celebrated films like Saturday Night and Sunday Morning, Alfie or Kes, or cult films like Withnail and I or If...but will highlight films like The System, Deep End and Here we go round the Mulberry Bush; the latest page, as of Oct 2018, is on Girl with Green Eyes.

The still above shows Sylvia Syms and June Ritchie in 1963's The World Ten Times Over.
